Yes, I thought this movie was both moving and silly. I enjoyed it immensely, and felt like someone had been reading my mind (in the choice they made). I've been pretty bummed out on life lately, so the timing of this was interesting.

What can we learn from the recent upheavals on the board
by Lady Lee ini had this this in my head and even had it typed out but didn't post it but i see some still need to talk about the trevor saga on the board.. i was reading some of the initial threads where many people posted how they felt about what trevor had done.
people used the words; anger, shock, disbelief, hurt, sickened, duped, suckered, creeped out, confused, stupid, and betrayed.. given the situation those are all perfectly normal responses.
it isn't easy when we find out we have been lied to.

Thanks, LL. Trust and safety are such important issues for us; it is a major challenge for me to feel safe and trusting, especially now, but time heals.

Have you changed your mind about ABORTION?
by nicolaou ini'm not after a discussion on the rights or wrongs on abortion, what i'm asking is whether or not your views have evolved over time.. perhaps leaving the watchtower was enough to allow your true feelings on abortion to find expression.
maybe abortion is one of those subjects where you still find yourself in agreement with your old jw self.
did becoming a mother change your perspective in any way or solidify your views?.

I've seen too many women have abortions simply for selfish reasons. If you do the crime, you should do the time, period.
Why equate love or sex and childbearing with crime and punishment?
So when men "do the crime" do they also get equal time?
NO. It's not a crime to get pregnant and it shouldn't be a crime to have an abortion, period.

I am against the choice to stop a life from going forward once it has been conceived. Yeah, I can go with that.
Then I suggest not having a period then, or a miscarriage. BTW explain if life is so precious to God (BTWA read the bible life isn't all that precious to the god of the bible) why did he create natrual abortions.
5go!

Sit down
by John Doe inbeside me on the cool dirt.
grab a drink, relax and tell me why there's so much suffering--did the world always hurt?
we're not prophets, nah, lord knows we ain't prophets, but happenstance you don't have to be a prophet to see the strain and tears drifting down the river with the eddies ebbing and flowing with a pulse flickering through the blood red snow covered banks.

I think it is because nature is indifferent. But we don't have to be; and we're not indifferent. That's one reason suffering troubles us. We evolved compassion, but most of nature did not, even though I assume all creatures want to avoid suffering.

The case for optimism: You will be healthier
by Gopher inbecause of our involvement in the cultish jw religion, we may have deep scars and hurt.
we will never fully forget all that has happened to us.
we're human.

I loved to read Andrew Weil's cookbook I had at home. He has some very healthy ideas.

I could be mistaken, but is there perhaps a language barrier?
Perhaps Eliabe is trying to say,"Could anyone help me?" Just a thought.
Sorry, Eliabe, I don't know of that document, but you're in the right place if you have questions about the JWs!
